Time to Get Your Flu Vaccine

       It is that time of the year again. Are you ready for the flu season? What you need to know:

Who should get the vaccine? In short, everyone 6 months and older should get the vaccine but especially those that are elderly and/or immune compromised. The complications of the flu can be life threatening. 

How effective is the vaccine? Flu Vaccines are usually 40-60% effective. It varies from year to year and person to person.

Are there any side effects of the vaccine? Side effects may include fatigue, soreness, or swelling. Severe side effects, like allergic reactions are very rare. If you are allergic, please inform your doctor.
